Graduate of The Professional Islamic Counselling Skills Programme (PICSP)
With over a decade of experience in mental health, Zan Sattar is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care that aligns with both psychological best practices and Islamic principles. As a trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and former Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, he has extensive experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
Zan’s therapeutic style is collaborative and solution-focused, emphasizing empowerment, resilience, and personal growth. He believes that therapy is not about fixing someone but about helping individuals recognize and harness their inner strengths to navigate life’s challenges.
Beyond his clinical work, Zan is deeply committed to grassroots initiatives that promote mental health awareness, community cohesion, and well-being. He has been actively involved in fundraising efforts, organizing local talks, and leading community projects that foster inclusivity, dialogue, and support networks. His dedication to mental health advocacy and social impact reflects his belief that well-being extends beyond the therapy room and into the heart of the community.
Zan is particularly passionate about the integration of Islamic psychology and mental health, ensuring that faith-based perspectives are valued in therapeutic practice. He strives to bridge the gap between spirituality and mental well-being, helping individuals achieve balance in both mind and soul.
